Kory Herrington
1st Place Company Driver of the Month
We are proud to recognize Kory Herrington as our April Company Driver of the Month! Kory joined Stevens Transport in May 2022 after earning his CDL from Lone Star College in Houston. In April, he logged an impressive 11,858 miles, showcasing his dedication and reliability on the road!
During a time of uncertainty and the pandemic, Kory left the retail industry, sought a fresh start, and found a great fit with Stevens Transport! He attributes his success to staying productive—“I don’t take long 34s unless I have to,” and says having a hazmat endorsement is a big advantage. Kory values the support he receives and the open communication. He also enjoys the independence that comes with life on the road. Outside of work, Kory spends his downtime gaming and is an avid reader.

Sarah Fowler
Runner Up Company Driver of the Month
Congratulations to Sarah Fowler, April Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Sarah Fowler joined Stevens Transport in November 2021 after earning her CDL through Stevens Driving Academy. In April, she logged an impressive 11,094 miles, highlighting her dedication to her career and strong work ethic.
Sarah is known for her reliability and positive attitude. She has never declined a preplan and is a true team player! “She’s a pleasure to manage and a wonderful driver,” says her Driver Manager. “… Always professional and dependable, this is a well-deserved honor.”

Larez Bagley
1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month
Congratulations to the April Independent Contractor of the Month, Larez Bagley! Larez earned his CDL with Stevens Driving Academy and began his journey with Stevens Transport in April 2024. In April, he logged an impressive 12,575 miles, an incredible example of his determination and drive.
Larez was drawn to the transportation industry in pursuit of financial independence, a rewarding career, and the freedom of life on the road. Becoming an independent contractor felt like a natural step for his future, and he credits his success to having a strong work ethic, a deep commitment to safety, and a passion for continuous learning as a driver and business owner. When asked what he values most about Stevens, Larez shared: “They truly support new drivers—with clear communication, reliable equipment, and respect for your time both on and off the road.” Outside of trucking, Larez enjoys quality time with his family and friends.

Aqutavia Hillsman
Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month
Congratulations to Aqutavia Hillsman, our April Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up! Aqutavia began her journey with Stevens Transport in February 2023 after earning her CDL with Stevens Driving Academy. She transitioned into the Contractor Division in July 2023. In April, Aqutavia logged an impressive 12,423 miles!
Drawn to the trucking industry by a sense of purpose and guided by faith, Aqutavia credits her success to her belief that “Wherever God leads me, I go.” She encourages new drivers to carefully consider whether trucking is the right fit, as it’s a lifestyle that requires both adjustment and commitment. She emphasizes the importance of trip planning and values the strong support system Stevens Transport and the Contractor Division provide to her. She highlights the company’s dedication to safety and its role in helping drivers build sustainable, rewarding careers as an incredible piece of Stevens Transport. Outside of work, Aqutavia enjoys fishing, reading, and takes great pride in being a lifelong learner.

Barry Chatman
1st Place Grad Driver of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Barry Chatman, our April New Driver of the Month! Barry began his career with Stevens Transport in January 2025 after earning his CDL from Diesel Driving Academy! In April, Barry’s dedication to his new career was highlighted when he logged an impressive 10,281 miles!
Before transportation, Barry spent two years as a school bus driver in Gray, Louisiana. Seeking new opportunities, he chose Stevens Transport for its strong reputation and career potential. One of Barry’s long-term goals is to become a Driver Trainer and pay it forward by helping new drivers succeed, just as his trainers helped him. He credits his success to staying focused, keeping a positive mindset, and sticking to the daily plan.
Barry’s favorite part of driving? “Waking up in a different city every other day—it’s bittersweet being away from home, but I’m working for my family’s future and well-being.” He appreciates that Stevens gives him the opportunity to travel the country while building a career. Outside of work, Barry enjoys watching documentaries, reading, and learning about different cultures.
“Stay dedicated. Make sure this is something you really want. It pays off if you stay committed.”

David Fisher
Runner-Up Grad Driver of The Month
Please join us in congratulating David Fisher, our April New Driver of the Month Runner-Up! David earned his CDL from Tennessee Truck Driving School and joined Stevens Transport in February 2025. In April, David logged an impressive 11,202 miles!
David chose Stevens Transport after recommendations from his CDL school, calling it “…a great place to start a trucking career.” He credits his success to staying focused, being dedicated to success, and keeping his priorities clear. He highlights Stevens’ training program as a key advantage, describing it as very thorough. One of his most memorable moments so far has been getting his truck and heading out solo for the first time.
David’s favorite part of the job is the freedom he feels while on the road and taking in the different parts of the country. When he’s not driving, he enjoys vacationing and spending time with his two kids.

John Rowell & Myles Hunt-Cruz
1st Place Team of the Month
Congratulations to our April Team of the Month, John Rowell and Myles Hunt-Cruz! John earned his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy, and Myles completed his training at Tampa Truck Driving School in Florida. Together, they logged an outstanding 24,253 miles in April—an incredible accomplishment and shows off their dedication to teamwork!
John joined Stevens Transport for the opportunity to grow in a new career after transitioning from his career as a welder. He planned to pursue something more fulfilling, and he believes he has found it! Myles, formerly an Amazon delivery driver, saw life with a CDL as a chance to build a professional career and succeed in the transportation industry. John credits his success to hard work, commitment, and the strong partnership with Myles. He is also very appreciative of the support they receive from their Driver Manager, George. Myles adds that owning every opportunity to learn has been key in his success! “You will fail. It’s what you learn from it that makes you better.” John and Myles both advise new drivers to stay grounded and practical. “Hang in there. Take it day by day and keep learning,” says John.
Outside the truck, John enjoys hunting and fishing. Myles spends his free time fishing, reading, and studying the trucking industry. As Myles puts it, “Learn something new every day.”

Frank Gaines
Owner-Operator of the Month
Congratulations to Frank Gaines, our April Owner Operator of the Month! Frank has been a dedicated member of the Stevens Transport team since May 2018 and earned his CDL with Diesel Driving Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas. In April, he logged an impressive 11,969 miles, demonstrating his drive, commitment to his business, and professionalism in the industry.
Frank spent over 14 years as a hospitality manager before joining the transportation industry. Seeking a change, he turned to Stevens Transport—and hasn’t looked back! “They told me I’d be getting paid to travel, and they were right,” he recalls. Frank has also served as a Driver Trainer (six years), proudly mentoring over 100 students. He finds great purpose in helping others learn the skills needed to succeed in the industry. He credits his success to his faith, attention to detail, and the training and support he receives from Stevens Transport. Frank values Stevens Transport’s commitment to walking alongside the drivers, every step of the way. “When you’re moving forward, they’re right there with you. That kind of support makes success possible.”
Outside the truck, Frank enjoys crossword puzzles, bowling, and recently, picked up skating again.

Jose Anaya
Trainer of the Month
Congratulations to Jose Gerald Anaya, our April Trainer of the Month! Jose has been a proud and committed member of the Stevens Transport team since July 1997, after earning his CDL from Diesel Driving Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas. In April, he logged an outstanding 17,391 miles!
Beginning his career as an Independent Contractor, he completed a lease purchase, becoming one of our successful Owner Operators. For over 14 years, Jose has been a passionate and dedicated trainer. He strives for and teaches excellence and safety. This mindset has helped earn him a spot in the prestigious Stevens Transport Haul of Fame, with over 2 million career miles! Jose attributes his success to hard work, discipline, and a genuine commitment to helping others grow. He’s proud to pass on the wisdom and techniques he’s learned from veteran drivers throughout his journey while keeping up on new happenings in the industry.
When he’s not on the road or mentoring the next generation of drivers, Jose enjoys relaxing and spending quality time with his family—a well-earned reward for a career built on excellence and integrity.

Jonathan Martinez
Runner Up Trainer of the Month
Please join us in congratulating Jonathan Martinez, our April Trainer of the Month Runner-Up! Jonathan began his career with Stevens Transport in May 2023 after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In April, he logged an impressive 17,097 miles! His commitment to helping others shines through in each mile!
For Jonathan, the most rewarding part of being a Trainer is the opportunity to give back. Helping new drivers succeed brings him great joy. For him, “seeing someone accomplish what they set out to do, and smile because of it, that means everything to me.” He credits much of his success to his father, whose experience in the trucking and brokerage world inspired Jonathan from a young age.
Outside of work, Jonathan values quality time with his family, especially his mother, and enjoys creating lasting memories with loved ones. To the Stevens Transport team, Jonathan shares a heartfelt “Thank you.”

Bernard Card
1st Place Dedicated Driver of the Month
Congratulations to Bernard Card, our April Dedicated Driver of the Month! Bernard joined Stevens Transport in December 2019 after earning his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In April, he ran an impressive 10,824 miles!
Inspired by Stevens Transport’s reputation for helping drivers build successful careers, Bernard knew he had found the right path. Over the past three years, he has trained over 30 students, many of whom have gone on to become trainers themselves. “Some still call to thank me,” he shares. “It’s a great feeling knowing I helped them succeed.”
Bernard credits his success to the simple principle and practice of listening and learning. From classroom training to real-world experience, he remains focused on safety, planning, and the wisdom of other experienced drivers. He encourages all drivers to follow distances, check the weather, and stay informed because it all matters.
Bernard values Stevens Transport for giving people a true opportunity—“They take drivers with zero experience, provide a truck, and help you maintain it. That support makes a difference.” Outside of work, Bernard enjoys water sports, fishing, swimming, chess, and basketball to stay active and balanced.
“Give your first year time. Learn the business and become dependable. If you run hard, deliver on time, and handle your paperwork, you’ll always get loads.”

Madison Jones
Runner Up Dedicated Driver of the Month
Congratulations to Madison Jones, our April Dedicated Driver of the Month Runner-Up! Madison has been a valued member of the Stevens Transport team since April 2023 and earned his CDL with Georgia Driving Academy. In April, he logged an impressive 11,947 miles!
After working as a local driver, Madison was drawn back to over-the-road and knew Stevens Transport was the right choice! He thrives on independence and the freedom the open road offers, “… there is no one over my shoulder and I value that.” Madison credits his success to being driven and having a strong desire to succeed, “I push myself every day.”
He appreciates that at Stevens Transport, the miles and the money are there if you’re willing to work for them.
Outside of the truck, Madison enjoys collecting comic books, especially Batman, and watching animated movies.
“Learn from everyone. Whether it’s someone with one year or 25 years of experience, there’s always something to take in.”
