Daemontrae Windham

1st Place Company Driver of the Month

Image of Daemontrae WindhamWe’re proud to recognize Daemontrae Windham as our March Company Driver of the Month! Daemontrae joined Stevens Transport in November 2023 after earning his CDL from Swift. In March alone, he logged an impressive 11,978 miles! Driven by a passion for the road, Daemontrae credits his success to his strong work ethic, dedication, and love for the trucking lifestyle.

He takes pride in doing things the right way—protecting his CDL, representing Stevens Transport with professionalism, and embracing the independence that comes with the job. Daemontrae appreciates Stevens Transport for its supportive culture, opportunities for growth, and team atmosphere. When he’s not on the road, he enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants, and diving into a good book.

Robert Mitchell

Runner Up Company Driver of the Month

Congratulations to Robert Mitchell, our March Company Driver of the Month Runner-Up and a proud member of the Million Mile Haul of Fame! Robert began his career with Stevens Transport in April 2012 after earning his CDL through Stevens Driving Academy. In March, he covered an impressive 11,273 miles.

Robert chose Stevens Transport for its strong reputation and commitment to helping drivers succeed. He credits his success to having solid relationships with Driver Managers and staff, emphasizing that hard work is always recognized.

His most memorable moment? The day he hit the road solo for the first time—an unforgettable milestone in his journey. Off the road, Robert enjoys reading, investing, movies, sports, and travel.

Benjamin Mahar

1st Place Independent Contractor of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Benjamin Mahar, our March Independent Contractor of the Month! Benjamin earned his CDL from HDS Truck Driving School in Tucson, Arizona, and joined Stevens Transport in August 2023. In March alone, he logged an impressive 13,775 miles!

Previously working at a highway diesel school in Phoenix, Benjamin was inspired to return to the road after attending a recruiting presentation by Stevens Field Recruiter, Sterling Collins! He credits his success to strong communication with his driver manager and planner, CD business advisor, and the outstanding support from Stevens Transport. He also values how Stevens Transport focuses on details, the quality equipment, dependable freight, and driver support. “I get loads delivered on time, and I know how to manage my time. Being an independent contractor gives me the flexibility I need,” he shared.

Benjamin’s tips for success are to be flexible, communicate openly with your driver manager and planners, and always prioritize safety. Outside of work, Benjamin enjoys spending time with family, hiking, flying drones with his son, and hanging out with his dog.

Carlos Rodriguez

Runner-Up Independent Contractor of the Month

Image of Carlos RodriguezCongratulations to Three Million Mile Haul of Famer, Carlos Rodriguez, our March Independent Contractor of the Month Runner-Up! Carlos earned his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy and joined Stevens Transport in June 1999, and transitioned to the Contractor Division soon after. In March, he logged an impressive 12,598 miles!

Driven by a desire to improve his family’s financial stability and quality of life, Carlos was inspired to join the trucking industry after seeing Stevens’ polished trucks on the road and spotting a local ad for entry-level drivers—no experience needed. Carlos made the call, and the rest is history. He credits his success to a relentless focus on safety and encourages new drivers to always put safety first. When not logging miles, Carlos is a proud racehorse owner and enjoys time at the track and caring for his family.

Da’Jae Wells

1st Place Grad Driver of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Da’Jae Wells, our March New Driver of the Month! Da’Jae began her career with Stevens Transport in November 2024 after earning her CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In March, she logged an impressive 13,989 miles!
Seven years ago, Da’Jae dreamed of hitting the road, and in 2024, after working for an airline and traveling every weekend, she decided to follow her dream of becoming a driver! Inspired and encouraged by another driver, Da’Jae turned her love of travel into a career.
Da’Jae loves having the opportunity to explore, the excitement of new experiences, and the pride in knowing she’s helping deliver goods that people need across the country.

She credits her success to the exceptional training she received and her self-driven determination. She values the ongoing support for new drivers and is motivated by this award and her future in the industry! Outside of work, Da’Jae enjoys spending time with friends and family and making plans for her future.

Mattie Scarbrough

In March, Mattie logged an impressive 7,824 miles and is excited for the continued growth, experience, and joy she is receiving in her new career.

When asked why she chose Stevens Transport, Mattie shared, “It’s the best company to work with.” She credits her early success to strong time management skills, staying efficient and proactive, and understanding how to run her logs effectively. Mattie appreciates Stevens Transport’s strong commitment to safety and says it’s a great place to start a trucking career—with plenty of miles and support. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising and walking her dog.

Liane & Roderick Thompson

1st Place Team of the Month

Congratulations to Million Mile Haul of Famers – Liane and Roderick Thompson, our Team of the Month! Liane earned her CDL from Georgia Driving Academy, and Roderick from Fayetteville Tech in North Carolina.

What began as individual career paths took a life-changing turn when they met at the Stevens Lakeland yard. As their paths continued to cross, so did their story! From friends to now spouses and a highly respected Team, they continue to create success on their journey!

Liane and Rod have been a Contractor Division Team since 2019. This dynamic duo ran an outstanding 21,526 miles in March! They credit their success to the strong support system at Stevens Transport and with the Contractor Division. Their passion for the road, shared commitment to excellence, and reputation of positivity and professionalism, Liane and Rod consistently go above and beyond for our customers, the driving community, and as representatives of Stevens Transport!

Outside of the truck, they enjoy gardening, golf, karaoke, and most of all, spending time with each other and their family.

He attributes his success to hard work, dedication, and the strong support system at Stevens Transport, beginning with the top-tier training. He appreciates the knowledgeable Driver Managers and the company-wide focus on safety and professionalism. Outside of the truck, Thomas enjoys relaxing and spending time with his family.

Please join us in congratulating Darrell Robinson Jr., our March Trainer of the Month! Darrell has been a dedicated member of Stevens Transport since March 2019, and earned his CDL from Stevens Driving Academy. In March, this Driver Trainer covered an incredible 17,876 miles! With a passion for helping others grow and succeed, Darrell has trained numerous drivers and stays connected with many of them. He credits his success to having a strong work ethic, refusing to procrastinate, and striving to be the best trainer possible. “It feels good knowing I’m helping shape someone’s career,” he shared.

What he values most about Stevens Transport is the accountability held, safety culture, and the opportunities to grow in the industry. He appreciates the support that has helped him evolve as a driver while feeling supported. When out of his truck, Darrell operates a pressure washing business, manages his investments, and cherishes time with his family.

Ademola Adeniran

Runner Up Trainer of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Ademola Adeniran, our March Trainer of the Month Runner-Up! Ademola joined Stevens Transport in December 2018 and earned his CDL from Houston Community College. In March, he covered an impressive 17,841 miles!

Drawn to Stevens Transport for its high-quality training for drivers and wanting to give back to the community, Ademola committed to being a Driver Trainer and has since trained nearly 50 drivers, helping them become safe, confident professionals. He appreciates the ongoing support and encourages drivers to be proactive with their careers. “If you need more training, say something because they’ll make sure you get it,” he shared.

He credits his success to staying focused and mission-driven: “I’m on the road for business—no distractions. Train, teach, and deliver the load on time.” Ademola values the support he receives daily, and enjoys the opportunity to travel the country while doing what he loves. Outside of work, he enjoys listening to music, reading, exercising, and spending quality time with his family.

Douglas Barriger

Congratulations to Million Mile Haul of Famer, Douglas Barriger, our March Dedicated Driver of the Month! Douglas joined Stevens Transport in October 2013 after graduating from Roadmaster Drivers School. In March, he ran an impressive 14,822 miles, showcasing his dedication and expertise!

After seeking a career change, Douglas found lasting success in the transportation industry. A firm believer in giving back, he enjoys mentoring new drivers and finds their successes truly rewarding. Douglas credits his wife as his greatest support, saying she brings calm and clarity during tough times. “She makes everything right again.”

When off the road, Douglas and his wife enjoy relaxing and spending time together. He’s honored to be recognized again for his hard work and values the appreciation. “This recognition goes miles and miles.”

Ilan Greismann Escobar

A valued member of the Stevens Transport team since August 2022, Ilan logged an impressive 14,514 miles in March. Originally from Costa Rica, Ilan always dreamed of owning his own trucking business. Encouraged by a friend and fellow Stevens driver, he earned his CDL from Tampa Truck Driving School and is grateful for the support of its excellent instructors.

For Ilan, being a professional driver is more than a job—it’s a passion. He’s especially thankful for the Perdue Dedicated team! Outside of work, Ilan enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and bringing smiles to those around him.
